A manifesto, according to Merriam-Webster, is a written statement declaring publicly the intentions, motives, or views of its issuer. For this assignment, I chose to research Mitch Goldstein’s Design Education Manifesto to create a set of two typographic posters: one expressing the manifesto (Part 1) and another for an event based on the content (Part 2). I explored the use of typography, grid, color, shape, and scale to create compelling compositions without photographic images or illustrations, exploring the manipulation, presentation, intervention, and expression of typography as my primary visual language and image.
